Spring Fair Visit

Thought we'd just give you all a quick update on goings on here.

We enjoyed a very good and thought provoking trip to the Spring Fair at Birmingham's NEC last Sunday (6th Feb). We obviously made straight for Hall 3 and the 'Art & Framing' section. There was plenty to see and more than one thing caught our eye, that's for sure! We spent quite a while on one stand in particular and without giving anything away, we have come back from the NEC with much to think about and plenty of research to do. As any news of developements becomes available we will keep you updated. But we are very much in the research stages of a new project at the moment, exciting times!!!

Other than that our framing services are becoming increasingly popular here. We offer a comprehensive range of frames and we are always happy to chat through any framing requirements that you may have either now or in the future. Not to mention our canvas print services that keep us busy too!

Our major behind the scenes work on the website has now been completed and we are now able to update the 'Image of the Month'. However as there's just a week and a half until April arrives (yes, it's really going that quickly!) we have decided that we won't be changing the 'Image of the Month' until the end of March.

We didn't think it fair to any artist to have their image showcased for just a short amount of time.

Spring Fair Trip Cancelled!

Unfortunately our trip to this years Spring Fair at The NEC had to be cancelled as the writer of this blog (that's me!) managed to inflame the tendons in his foot and wasn't able to stand, let alone drive to Birmingham and walk around the NEC all day!

It was a bit of a blow and means we'll be missing this years event. We are, however, rearranging a trip to Birmingham to see one specific supplier that we really did want to see.

The foot is much better now, I can even make it to the kettle and back, so normal service has been resumed!!!

Anyone planning a trip to Spring Fair 2010 at NEC Birmingham, February 7-11?

We'll be treating ourselves to a trip on Tuesday 9th February to visit the 'Art and Framing' section in Hall 3. If anybody else is going to be there on Feb 9th then please let us know. It'd be good to see you there and compare notes on what's getting your attention at this years event.

If you haven't been before it's well worth a trip, but if you want to see it all be prepared for a very long day and some very achy legs and feet by the end. It's a massive event that pretty much takes over the NEC for 5 days.

So, if you're going to be around at the NEC on February 9th drop us a line and let us know, we'll keep an eye out for you!

The photograph was taken at Bacton, Norfolk during a particularly stormy couple of days in the summer of 2006. The picture was taken when the tide was in, to gain maximum effect of the waves crashing against the sea defence.

It's almost that time of year again, it comes around so quickly!

For the four weekends in July, starting on July 4th / 5th, artists around the Cambridge area (and beyond) will be throwing open their doors and welcoming visitors to their studios.

It's a great chance to meet the artists and chat about their work. With the help of the Cambridge Open Studios 2009 Guide (available from the website and from selected outlets around the county) you can plan your visits to a number of artists galleries and studios using their very handy map.
